Download transcript request form common app
With Common App for transfer, students only need to request an official transcript from their previously attended institution once. Using the Centralized Transcript Collection process, official transcripts will be mailed from the sending college to the transcript processing center, and will then be made available to each program where the student has applied.
Students list each of their current or previous higher education institutions attended in the colleges attended section of the application. If applying to a program requiring official transcripts for submission, students will download the Transcript Request Form and request one transcript from each sending institution to be sent to the Common App transcript processing center.
This means that only one transcript request form per current or previous college is required. Then it is scanned and uploaded to become available to the programs where the student has applied.
Applicants may monitor the check status page in the application to ensure transcripts are received. On average, it takes business days for transcripts to post to an application from the date they are received by the Common App transcript processing center. Common App accepts electronic transcripts from Parchment and National Student Clearinghouse, so if a college does not use either of these services, the official transcript must be sent by mail.
The Centralized Transcript Collection process is streamlined, cost-effective, and simpler for students. Colleges will now receive a verified scanned copy of official transcripts in a central location at no additional cost. The screenshots below show the student experience.
