Download computer apps after restore

Your backup will still be available and trying to solve the waiting or stalled apps download might be a bigger problem that starting all over again. Having said that, and assuming that you are restoring from an icloud backup, have you tried rebooting the iPad just to see if that springs the download back into action? I guess I will reset to factory state and start again. Wish it didn't take so long largely thanks to my 12K photos. One odd thing that happened in the middle of the attempted restore: iTunes asked me if I wanted to install the newest iOS. I said yes, assuming that's what I was supposed to do.
