Some words to take to heart, some words to live by, some words to get more liberated in the pursuit of artistic endeavours. Definitely a good thing to read. You don't know it yet, but it's likely you need this book. This book seemed like the only official publication that was going to give me that so I finally bought it.
Like this duology has totally filled my creative well. The white world around me began to change. People started appearing around me, along with cars and buildings. Everything was hazy and hard to see, preventing me from making out faces or anything distinctive. All I could tell for certain was that the people running were all humans. I was facing one way, and they were all running towards my direction, their cries and screams mingled together.
I started walking, moving out of the way to dodge them, although I knew they would just run through me in this fake reality. If this was a memory, when had this all happened? I stopped as a woman tripped and flipped onto her back. I couldn't tell what she was looking at, but she was crawling backward on her hands. A black shadow appeared before her, and my brows knitted. It was a shadow of another person, and as they jumped on top of her, I screamed.
I like the feel of his warm skin. I like how my body wraps so perfectly around his. I used to believe her, and then she was taken from us so brutally, and I decided that it was all lies, and I tried my hardest to forget every single fairytale she ever told me.
Dumb, right? We must pass over it. My legs are wrapped tightly around his waist, my arms locked around his neck as I hold on for dear life. Below me the trees get smaller and smaller as Surlok ascends.
I pull my gaze away and instead focus on his eyes. And a small part of me, as strange as this may sound, resents him for it.
